William “Bill” David Perryman II passed away peacefully on August 23, 2026 in Woodstock GA. Bill was born in Winston-Salem, NC on November 30, 1952. He was raised there by his parents Reid Johnson Perryman and Marie Craver Perryman. He is survived by his brother, Reid Johnson Perryman Jr. (wife AnnFaye) and was preceded in death by his sister, Linda Marie Perryman.

He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Linda Perryman, as well as her siblings, Debra and Hodge Phillips, Wanda and Fletcher Streater, Wayne and Carol Ball and Harold and Tena Ball. He has 14 nieces and nephews and 22 great nieces and nephews.

After being raised in Winston-Salem, NC, Bill attended Wake Forest University where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance. After graduation, Bill served 24 years in the United States Army and Army National Guard. He went on to work at Wachovia Bank and Fidelity Bank in various roles before retiring in 2016 with his last role being in Risk Management.

Bill joined Floyd Road Baptist Church in 2017 where he and his wife played an active role in many outreach ministries including the church’s homeless and food distribution ministries. He had a servant’s heart and worked diligently in the community through the church’s blood drives and local school partnerships.

Bill had a strong love for animals of any kind. Linda did not care for opossums but Bill explained that they were a part of God’s creation as much as humans. He did not miss a chance to love on any animal in which he came in contact.

Bill believed in taking care of the body as well as the soul. He was an avid runner completing many Peachtree Road Races and one half marathon. He enjoyed hiking and being in nature. Bill was instrumental in helping Linda recover from two bouts with cancer. He stood by her side and comforted her through chemotherapy and radiation both times. She is forever grateful for the kindness and support she received from him.

The funeral will be held in the chapel of West Cobb Funeral Home, 2480 Macland Road, Marietta, GA 30064 on Saturday August 29, 2026 at 11:00 am. Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 09:30.

There will be a private interment for the family at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donation to be made in Bill’s honor to Floyd Road Baptist Church, 3996 Floyd Road, Austell, GA 30106
