William “Bill” Carl Mobley, Sr., age 89, passed away peacefully on June 27, 2026, in Marietta, Georgia. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Marcus and Eunice, his sons, Michael and Danny, his brothers, Johnny and Daniel, his sister, Cora Mae and granddaughter Danielle. He is survived by his daughters, Teresa "Terri" (Tedd) Mobley of Atlanta, Georgia, and Malinda (Derek) Geers of Jasper, Georgia; his son, William “Carl” Carl Mobley, Jr., of Jasper, Georgia, 10 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
A native of Atlanta, Bill spent most of his life in Smyrna, Georgia. As an entrepreneur he brought countless smiles to children and families on an ice cream truck, mastered the art of candy making, and selling peanuts. As the owner of M & M Corvettes, then M & M of GA, he learned a whole new craft of selling cars. Bill loved life, he found joy in dancing, fishing, golf, playing ping pong, traveling, and, above all, spending time with the people he loved.
A Celebration of Life service to celebrate Bill's life will be held 1:00 pm, Saturday, July 25, 2026 at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta, Georgia. The family will receive friends during a reception from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm prior to the service on the pavilion at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Bill's honor to Calvary Children's Home.
