William Jerry McGrath, age 83, of Marietta, passed away on Tuesday, August 25, 2026.

Mr. McGrath was born on December 22, 1942, in Cartersville, Georgia, to the late Leo and Helen Davenport McGrath. He was a singer and songwriter and a veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Vietnam War. In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his brother, Don McGrath.

Survivors include his wife, Cheryl McGrath; sons, Scott McGrath and Grayson McGrath; siblings, Diane Durham, and Patty Werner.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Friday, August 28, 2026, at The Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home in Cleveland, GA. The Rev. Oscar Whiteside and Mr. Chris McLean will officiate. Interment will follow in Yonah View Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. Thursday, August 27, 2026, at the funeral home.
