Wilda Jo Watson, age 67, of Smyrna, Georgia passed away Tuesday, June 4, 2024. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, June 8, 2024 at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta with Pastor Chip Abernathy and Mr. Wayne Myers officiating. Interment will follow at Georgia Memorial Park in Marietta with Rev. Snyder Turner officiating.
Born in Atlanta, Mrs. Watson was a lifelong resident of Smyrna. She graduated from Wills High School. After working in the insurance industry for 25 years, she worked at the Oxford Academy of Babies for the past 15 years. She was the proud preacher's wife to the late Rev. Johnny W. Watson, Jr., and was also preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Grace Holcombe, a sister, Linda Disharoon, and a son-in-law, Kevin McCrary. She was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church in Powder Springs, GA.
Survivors include: Daughter, Diane McCrary, Smyrna, GA; 2 Sisters, Virginia (David) Gunn, Mableton, GA, and Sherill (Michael) Huddleston, Mableton, GA; Brother-in-Law, Lamar Disharoon, Powder Springs, GA; Several Nieces, Nephews, and Great Nieces and Nephews.
