Timothy Leroy Smallwood

Timothy Leroy Smallwood, age 62, passed away on August 6, 2026. Funeral service will be held on Sunday, August 9, 2026, at 2:00 PM at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel in Marietta, Georgia. Burial will follow at Sweetwater Memorial Park in Hiram. He was preceded in death by Leroy Smallwood (Father), Margaret Smallwood (Mother). 

Timothy Leroy Smallwood grew up in Jonesboro, Georgia, as the eldest son of six siblings Shane (Rene), Jason (Angela), Debbie, Beverly (Buddy), Shirley (Ralph) born to the late Margaret and Leroy Smallwood, who instilled in him the values of hard work, faith, and devotion to family. A gifted athlete, Tim earned a baseball scholarship. He later met the love of his life, Malissa Pierce, whom he married in 1984. He devoted 37 years to Newell and SA Recycling, demonstrating extraordinary strength and perseverance through his battles with throat cancer and the subsequent complications while remaining a dedicated husband, father, and provider. Tim and Lissa built a loving home, raised their sons, Drake (Sarah) and Kyler, created treasured family traditions, and enjoyed many adventures together. Affectionately known as "Timmy," "Tim Bob," "Uncle Tim" and "Coach Tim" to many he will be remembered as a dependable, caring, and steadfast man whose love, wisdom, and unwavering presence touched everyone fortunate enough to know him. He was loved by so many and will be sorely missed.

Family will receive friends Sunday, August 9, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta, Georgia.
