Thomas Warner Blankinship, a respected businessman and devoted family man, passed away on May 25, 2026, in Dallas, Georgia. Born on April 13, 1943, in Louisville, Kentucky, Thomas devoted over fifty years to his paint business, serving the Cobb County and Atlanta areas with a level of dedication and excellence that never required advertising; all his work was secured through word of mouth. His unwavering commitment to quality and community made him a trusted name throughout the region.
Thomas’s life was marked not only by his professional accomplishments but also by the profound love and support he gave to his family. He is survived by his beloved wife of 63 wonderful years, Janet J. Blankinship, and their children: Scott (Donnette) Blankinship, Alicia (Vince) Lane, Jana (Casey) Adcock, and Kiley (Betty) Blankinship. His legacy continues through his numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were the pride and joy of his later years.
Among his grandchildren are Thomas (Angela) Blankinship, Stasha (Cole) Moore, Greg (Lindsey) Blankinship, Shawna (Derek) Hodges, Justin (Erin) Terrell, Warner (Ashley) Terrell, Missy Danielle (Nick) Barfield, Courtney (Wilson) Wills, Jammie (Cole) Swan, Harlie Adcock, Kara (Zach) Millwood, Kassi (Allen) Blankinship, and Katie (Zach) Blankinship. His great-grandchildren, a testament to the extensive and loving family he nurtured, include Jaxon, Jace, and James Blankinship; Waylon Blankinship; Kairee Terrell; Dawson and Lainey Terrell; Skyler and Alyvia Hodges; Brantley, Kylie, and Maverick Millwood; Tegan and Lucas Barfield; and Eli Wills, along with several nieces and nephews.
Thomas also endured the loss of close family members, including his father Glen Christian Blankinship, his mother Bertha Parker Blankinship, and his grandson Russ Montgomery. Their memories remain cherished by the family.
Throughout his life, Thomas Warner Blankinship was a pillar of strength, kindness, and dedication. His contributions to his community and family leave an indelible mark that will be remembered for generations to come. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
