Terrie Johnson Montgomery

Terrie (Johnson) Montgomery, 71, passed away surrounded by family on July 30, 2026. Terrie was born in Fort McPherson Army Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia on March 15, 1955 to her parents, Clifford and Thelma Johnson. In 1976 she graduated from Georgia Baptist School of Nursing and went on to compassionately care for others at Georgia Baptist Hospital (which later became Atlanta Medical Center) for over 44 years before a well-deserved retirement. She met her husband, Jim Montgomery, at Mountain View Church, where they have been faithful members for 41 years. In 1995, Jim and Terrie’s family grew as they were blessed with the adoption of their son, Brian. Terrie spent much of her time in fellowship with her friends and family. She was not only a beloved daughter, wife, mother, and sister to her three siblings, but also a cherished “Nana”.

Terrie is survived by her husband, Jim, son, Brian (Melody); her three siblings, Jerry (Sherry), Sherree, and Jodi; three grandchildren, Cadence, Lyric, and Coda, and several nieces and nephews.

Terrie’s family will receive friends and family for a celebration of her life at Mountain View Church (520 Casteel Road SW, Marietta, GA 30064) on Saturday, August 15th from 12:00-2:00 pm with a service to follow from 2:00-3:00 pm.
