Tamir Dushon Turner, born July 22, 1998, to Tara Graham and Marvin Walker, entered eternal rest on May 20, 2025, after succumbing to injuries sustained in a vehicular accident in Atlanta, GA. Tamir spent his early years in his hometown of Philadelphia before relocating with his family to Hiram, GA at the age of 11. He attended East Paulding Middle School and graduated from Hiram High School in 2016. After his completion of school, Tamir undertook a mission to discover his purpose. He explored multiple career paths, including commercial truck driving, hip-hop artistry, investing, and entrepreneurship, before ultimately deciding to serve his country by enlisting in the United States Navy, where he reached the rank of E3 before receiving a Discharge Under Honorable Conditions in March of 2023.
In addition to his passion for people and desire to bring humor to every situation, Tamir also found enjoyment in music, fashion, and conceptualizing new ideas. He was a free-spirited individual who frequently offered unique perspectives on various topics and was not hesitant to engage in intellectual debates, regardless of his opponent.
Throughout life’s trials, Tamir stood strong in his faith and recently started attending church services again, a reflection of his early devotion to his Lord Jesus Christ. Those who knew Toddy, as he was affectionately known, will fondly remember his warm smile, joyful laughter, and unwavering commitment and love for his daughter and family, leaving an enduring legacy in the lives of all those who knew him.
Tamir was the beloved son of Tara and Mark Graham and Marvin Walker and loving father of Taelynn Aniyah Turner. His passing has left a void in their hearts that can never be filled.
Tamir is survived by his loving parents, his beautiful daughter Taelynn, her mother Isabella, his siblings, Tierra (Omar), Eric (Quadera), Turea, Markeem, Markeece, Dontae, Denisha, Davida, Dayquine, Deangelo, Marvin Jr., Aniyah, Admad, Dashawn, Darnell and his (brother) best friend Charles O’Neil. Tamir was the cherished grandson of Gerald and Nancy Pride, Bernadette Graham, Mark Robinson (Dawn). Tamir also leaves behind his God-brother and sister Robbie and Tikwa, a multitude of uncles, aunts, cousins, and a host of nieces, nephews and cherished friends.
He was proceeded in death by his God-mother Felicia Goodwin, Grandfather Craig Eugene Turner, Mom-Mom Wanda T. Robinson, Grandmother Denise Walker and Grandfather Paul Saunders.
We ask that you remember Tamir for the way he lived his life and the lasting impact he had on all those who knew him.
For My Sweet Toddy:
You came to me, a sweet surprise,
A miracle from God, wrapped in disguise.
The youngest bloom in my garden wide,
With laughter bright and arms held high.
Tamir, my heart, my shining son,
The sweetest chapter, has just begun.
With every grin, with every joke,
A thousand rays of light you spoke.
They called you witty — oh, yes they knew,
No one could spark a room like you.
Charisma danced in all you did,
The brightest soul, mama’s silliest kid.
That big, bold smile — how it would glow,
A beacon of light, in sorrow’s snow.
You made the world feel bright , less gray,
A burst of joy in every day.
Now silence hums where your laughter played,
And in my arms, your echo’s stayed.
But son, sweet Toddy, know this true:
You live in me, in all I do.
In every sunrise, warm and wide,
I feel your spirit by my side.
In whispered winds, in stars above,
You send me signs, wrapped in your love.
I’ll miss you more than words can show,
My baby boy, you had to go.
But in my heart, you’re safe, you’re near —
Forever mine, my sweet Tamir.
From mom, with love ❤️
