Shirley Uvyonne Newsome, age 86, passed away Wednesday, February 4, 2026.
As the family matriarch, she will be deeply missed for her generosity, strength, and love, leaving a lasting legacy that will influence future generations.
Mrs. Newsome is preceded in death by her daughter Penney Dobbins (Sherman). She is survived by her beloved husband of 68 years, Charles Newsome, her son Stan Newsome (Tracy) of Powder Springs, her two grandchildren Wes Newsome (Mandi) and Cory Newsome (Brittany) of Dallas, GA and four great grandchildren, Lexi, Wyatt, Sadie and Charlie.
Family will receive friends on Monday, February 9 from 5pm - 7pm West Cobb Funeral Home. Funeral service held on Tuesday, February 10 at 2pm at West Cobb Funeral Home.
