Sandra L. Herman

Sandy L. Herman, 79, of Marietta, Georgia, passed away peacefully on September 24, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on December 31, 1945, Sandy grew up in Jersey Shore, Pennsylvania, where she graduated from Jersey Shore High School. She was the beloved daughter of Perry Boatman and Cora Allen, and the cherished step-daughter of Stewart Bickel and Ted Gelinas.

On May 23, 1964, Sandy married the love of her life, Chet Herman. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with love and laughter. In 1985, they made Marietta, GA their home.

Sandy was a devoted wife, a nurturing mother, and a proud grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Chet; her daughters Jan Wasson and Ann Hadaway (Randy); her grandchildren Nathan Wasson, Lily Wasson, and Kari Pittman; her great-granddaughter Brynleigh Pittman; and a soon-to-arrive great-grandson. She is also survived by her step-siblings Peter Gelinas (Kathy), Deborah Siel (Warren), Candy Poulin (David), Robin Gelinas, and Timothy Gelinas.

She was preceded in death recently by her grandson, Cody Pittman, whom she dearly missed.

Sandy will be remembered for her boundless kindness, warm heart, and unwavering love for her family and friends. She was truly a friend to everyone she met.

A celebration of Sandy's life will be held at a later date and will be announced by the family.
