Samuel Randolph Harris, 68, known as Randy to his family and friends, passed away after a brief illness on January 1, 2024. Randy graduated from high school in Savannah, and moved to Smyrna where he spent the rest of his adult life. Randy's dad was a minister at Locust Grove Baptist Church, and one fine day, Randy met Dawn Richelle Brown at church. They were soon married in 1977. That beautiful beginning made it to 46 years, 4 children, and 9 grandchildren. Randy enjoyed playing sports, and then watching that love of sports bloom in his children and grandchildren. He was particularly fond of running the sound system at church. When he wasn't busy with his family and helping at church, he could be found woodworking. Randy was often covered in sawdust after his hobby, and called it his "man glitter".
We are celebrating Randy, and he would request colors other than black, and nothing too fancy! |
