Rogelio Robayna, 96, of Atlanta, Georgia, entered into eternal rest on November 5, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on January 4, 1929, in Havana, Cuba, Rogelio's life was one of resilience, faith, and a deep, abiding love for his family. He was a dedicated Optometrist, a profession he served with care and diligence well into his 80s.
A devout Catholic and a faithful parishioner of St. Jude's, Rogelio's faith was a guiding light throughout his life. He was known by all for his kind smile, his gentle way of speaking, and his wonderful sense of humor. He was a natural peacemaker, a wonderful listener, and an empathetic soul who possessed a quiet wisdom, always able to reconcile and bring people together.
Above all, he was a dedicated family man. He is now joyfully reunited in Heaven with his beloved wife, Ada Robayna, who passed in 2019, and with one cherished great-grandchild.
His legacy and love continue through his family. He is survived by his two daughters, Ada (John and his children Joseph, Jennifer, and Catherine) and Ana (Bob); his granddaughters, Andrea (Erik) and Alexandra (John); his eight great-grandchildren (Sofia, Benjamin, Leo, Max, Lily, Emma, Cristina, and Gabriel); and beloved nieces, nephews, and cherished friends.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, November 11th, at St. Mary's Chapel at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, followed by a burial at the parish garden. A reception will follow in the home of Bob and Ana Richards.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude's Cancer Research Institute or to the Legionaries of Christ Seminary in Rogelio's memory.
May his soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
