Robert Oakley

Robert James Oakley Sr., 83 of Marietta, Georgia, passed in his sleep on February 8.

Robert was born to Jerome James and Margaret Oakley on September 23, 1940 in Youngstown, Ohio. He attended St. Pete High School in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Robert served in the Army in Korea.

He is survived by his sister, Joyce Oakley Watford, her husband Lewis Watford, and leaves a legacy of 6 children, Michael, Susan, Anthony, Jerome, Robert Jr., and Joseph. His companion Amy and son Andrew. He also leaves a host of nephews, John David, Steven, Jacob and Tyler Watford, and nieces Grace and Lili Watford. He had 3 grandchildren, Grace, Faith and Daekota. His children remember him as a disciplined family man, that would do anything for his kids

He is preceded in death by his sisters, Geraldine, Donna and Francis.

Robert worked in the trades most of his life and was a Plant Manager for Seasons 4 until he retired at 75.

Robert's request was that no funeral services be held.
