Ricky Dewayne Koch, born October 2, 1952 in Wichita, Kansas, passed away on January 27, 2026 leaving behind a powerful legacy of faith, service and love.
Ricky was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Koch; his stepmother Betty Koch; his father-in-law, Lee (Chuck) Jorman; his mother-in-law, Martha Jorman; his brother-in-law, Tommy Grant; and his sister-in-law, Wanda Koch.
He is survived by his adoring wife of 52 years, Janet Koch, who stood faithfully by his side throughout a lifetime of love and devotion. He is also survived by his beloved children, Kelly Koch and Chris Koch, and daughter-in-law, Apryl Koch. Ricky was a proud and loving grandfather to Brady Marcus, Rayleigh Marcus, Reese Marcus, Karra Koch, and Evey Koch, each of whom brought him overwhelming joy.
Ricky is also survived by his mother Dean McConnell (Phil); his brothers, Roger Koch and Jimmy Koch; and his sister, Sheri Koch. He leaves behind his sisters-in-law, Claudia Grant and Jamie Bush (Keith), as well as many nieces and nephews who were special to him and deeply loved.
Ricky retired from AT&T, yet his strong work ethic continued as he remained active in contract work with SourceOne Inc. at the time of his death. He also proudly served his country for six years in the United States Air Force Reserves.
Above all else, Ricky was a godly man whose faith in Jesus Christ was the foundation of his life. He was a faithful servant who genuinely loved people and found joy in serving others. He never met a stranger and devoted his life to sharing the love of Christ through kindness, humility, and compassion.
His family was his greatest joy. Whether riding on his boat, spending time on his beloved tractor, or simply sharing stories and laughter, Ricky treasured the simple pleasures in life. He always had a story to tell and a smile to share.
The legacy Ricky Dewayne Koch leaves behind is a living testimony to the life he lived- one of faith, service, love and unwavering devotion to family and to God.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
