Ricardo “Rick” Granillo, age 72, of Kennesaw, Georgia, passed away peacefully on July 16, 2025.
Rick was born in Greensboro, North Carolina, to the late Rachel Bass. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Bonnie; his mother, Rachel; his brother, Randy; and his sister, Brenda.
Rick is lovingly remembered by his daughters, Brittany (Brandon) and Brooke; his cherished granddaughters, Bailee and Berkley; his brothers, George (Elaine) and Richard (Pam); and several nieces and nephews.
Rick earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Southern Polytechnic State University. A devoted father, grandfather, and brother, he found joy in life’s simple pleasures — spending time with family, bowling, white water rafting, relaxing at the lake, and deep sea fishing. He was an avid sports fan who never missed a Tar Heels basketball game or an Alabama football Saturday.
In earlier years, Rick was a dedicated member of the men’s choir at Smyrna First United Methodist Church and found great joy in singing. He and Bonnie shared a love of travel, creating countless memories together throughout the years.
Rick will be remembered for his warmth, his laughter, and the unwavering love he had for his family. His presence will be deeply missed, but the legacy he leaves behind will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him
