Rhonda L. Jobson passed away on May 31 at age 73 after a long illness. Rhonda was born in Anderson, South Carolina, and grew up in Cobb County. She was a graduate of Sprayberry High School and Georgia State University. Rhonda was a member of West Ridge Church.
Rhonda loved music and was an accomplished singer, pianist, and organist. She also loved to work in her garden and share her knowledge of plants. In addition she also enjoyed volunteer work and missionary trips. She was also able to pursue her love of flying and obtained her Private Pilot’s License.
Rhonda was preceded in death by her father, James A Ledford, her stepfather, Parker R Lowry, and her son, Michael Sean Ellison.
Rhonda is survived by her husband, James (Jim) Jobson, mother, Frances Lowry, daughters Charlotte (Jason) Weir and Stephanie Ellison, stepsons Matt (Susan) Jobson and Chris Jobson, and her grandchildren - Bane, Bryson, Kade, and Tennyson Weir; Madison and Makenley Ellison; and Garrett Jobson.
Visitation will held at West Cobb Funeral Home on Wednesday June 10 from 1 PM to 3 PM. A celebration of her life will follow at West Cobb Funeral Home at 3 PM, Pastor John Morgan of West Ridge Church officiating. Rhonda would prefer her friends to come in casual dress with bright colors.
Burial will be at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA, on Thursday June 11 at 10:30.
Her family would also like to thank the many friends who helped and encouraged us throughout her illness, the staff at Ennoble Hospice, and Rhonda’s friend and helper from Visiting Angels, Fiona Lalmoni.
In lieu of flowers please consider donations to West Ridge Church or the Alzheimer’s Association.
Regardless of her other accomplishments, Rhonda will be best remembered as a servant to her Savior, mom to her children, and Nonna to her grandchildren.
