Rev. John A. Miles

Rev. John Arthur Miles, age 94, of Smyrna, GA went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, July 18, 2025. A Celebration of his Life will be held at 3pm on Monday, July 21, 2025 at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta with Tim Miles officiating. The family will receive friends from 1pm until 3pm prior to the ceremony at the funeral home.

Born in Atlanta, Rev. Miles served in the Army Air Corp for a brief period of time. Afterward, he spent his life in the ministry. He pastored churches in Georgia, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Illinois, and Ohio. In his spare time he loved to fish, play golf, and eat ice cream.

He is survived by 6 children, Priscilla (Walter) Lawhon, Douglasville, GA, Patricia Renee Hilliard, Marietta, GA, Dorcas (Gene) Fidell, Marietta, GA, John (Winnie) Miles, Jr., Newnan, GA, Bryan (Claudia) Miles, Villa Rica, GA, and Gretchen (Scott) Norman, Acworth, GA; brother, Tim (Claire) Miles, Smyrna, GA; 21 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
