Reta Vivian Conaway Durden

Reta Vivian Conaway Durden, age 90, of Acworth, GA passed away peacefully on Friday, September 25, 2026. Funeral Services will be held at 11am on Tuesday, October 6, 2026 in the chapel of West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta with Rev. Bill Rorie officiating. Burial will follow at 1:30pm at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton. The family will receive friends from 9:30am until 11am prior to the service at the funeral home.

A native of Vidalia, GA, Mrs. Durden had lived most of her life in Cobb County. She worked as a Customer Service Manager for several banks, including Commercial Exchange, First Union, and BB&T. She was also a member of Labelle Heights Baptist Church, Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, and most recently Picketts Mill Baptist Church. She was very active with all of her churches where she enjoyed serving on various committes, vacation bible schools, and the W.M.U. She was preceded in death by her parents, Donnie and Juceah Conaway, and her husband, Lindsey Durden, in 2019.

She is survived by her children, Marsha (Sammy) Davis, Acworth, GA, and Scott (Leah) Durden, Acworth, GA; grandchildren, Lauren Davis (Chad) Cannon, Acworth, GA, Ryan (Haley) Davis, Acworth, GA, Teri (Kayla) Durden, White, GA, and Cady (Chad) Crider, Marietta, GA; great grandchildren, Ashlynn Durden, Kalliann Durden, Barrett Cannon, Everleigh Crider, Tristan Durden, Aubreigh Crider, Colt Cannon, Cohen Crider, and Ryley Davis.
