Rena E. Mattern

Rena E. Mattern, age 70, of Ellijay, Georgia passed away August 25, 2024. Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, August 30, 2024 at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel in Marietta, Georgia with Rev. Bill Rorie officiating.

Rena was a native of Robbinsville, NC and lived most of her life in Cobb County, GA. Rena was dedicated Cobb County School Bus Driver for over 25 years and after retirement she enjoyed spending time with the Ladies Auxiliary at the American Legion Post 294. She especially loved spending time with her family and friends.

Survivors include: daughter: Christy Woody of Waco, GA; son-in-law: Johnny Farmer of Temple, GA; three sons: Robert (Jennifer) Mattern Jr. of Jasper, GA; Jason (Melissa) Woody of Villa Rica, GA and Jeremy Mattern of Marietta, GA; 9 grandchildren: Mitchell, Jared, Hannah, Logan, Lily, Heather, Matt, Jeremy and Gabi; seven great-grandchildren; siblings: Mitchell (Linda) Holloway, Michael Holloway, Stephanie (Alan) Lambert and many beloved nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Friday, August 30, 2024 from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta, Georgia.
