The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 18, 2024 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at West Cobb Funeral Home and Cremtory.
A native of Dawson County, Mr. Padgett lived in Power Springs for 26 years before moving back to Dawsonville. He was a 65 year lifelong landscaper, and had owned and operated Padgett Landscaping. He was proud to be of the Baptist faith, and loved riding motorcycles and gardening.
Survivors include: Wife of 63 years, Dianne Padgett; 3 Children, Lawana (Kevin) Cunningham, Marty Ray (Renee) Padgett, and Donna (Rodney) Foulks, all of Dawsonville, GA; Brother, Rev. Max (Daisey Mae) Padgett, Dawsonville, GA; 2 Sisters, Frances Perithe, Cartersville, GA, and Shirley Wilson, Dawsonville, GA; 7 Grandchildren, Samantha, Tabitha, J.J., Jacobi, Noah, Levi, Abigail, and their spouses; 11 Great Grandchildren, Kaylee, Kyle, Lily, Hayden, Elizabeth, Alivia, Jaxon, Amelia, Piper, Jonah, and Alayna.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ray Padgett's memory to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
