Priscilla Miller Tomberlin, born on March 27, 1944, in Alma, Georgia, passed away peacefully on May 27, 2025, in Marietta, Georgia. Priscilla was a dedicated professional, having built her career at Ackerman and Company, where she contributed significantly to her field. She was also a former member of the Ladies Auxiliary of American Legion Post 160, honoring the service and sacrifice of those who have defended our country.
Priscilla was the beloved wife of Ernest Tomberlin, a devoted spouse to an honorable veteran. Together, they enjoyed a life marked by love, family, and community. She was a loving sister to Judy Richards of Woodstock, Georgia and Janet Boatright of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina. She cherished her role as a mother to her daughter Mary (Andy) Harrison of Newnan, Georgia, and as a bonus mother to David (Beth) Tomberlin of Sylvester, Georgia; Alan (Lynn) Tomberlin of Dallas, Georgia; and Julie (Jason) Black of Sylvester, Georgia.
Family extended into the next generations, with Priscilla adored by her grandchildren: Jessica (Jonathan) Knight, Christie (Andrew) Knight, Sidney Harrison, Austin (Brett) Tomberlin, Bethany Tomberlin, Morgan Tomberlin, Jennifer Tomberlin, Cody (Brent) Cone, Kasey Black and her great-grandchildren: Savannah Knight, William Knight, Noah Knight, and Noah Tomberlin. Additionally, she leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews who will fondly remember her warmth and kindness.
Priscilla was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Oliver Thomas Miller and Mary Faye Miller, whose guidance and love shaped her values and unwavering character. She also mourned the loss of her son, Tulsa Sturges, who passed away in 2023, and her precious granddaughter, Tulissia Sturges, who left this world in 2022. In addition, Priscilla’s legacy honors the memory of her late brothers-in-law, Vernon Richards (2017) and Sam Boatright (2018), whose presence enriched her life.
Priscilla's graveside service will be held on June 4, 2025, at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia. The service will commence at 2:00 PM, followed by interment at 2:30 PM.
Priscilla Tomberlin will be remembered for her unwavering spirit, devotion to her family, and commitment to serving her community. She has left an indelible mark on the lives of all who knew her.
