Phyllis Ann Kegley Hardy, age 82, died peacefully on July 19, 2025, at WellStar Community Hospice Tranquility at Cobb surrounded by family. She lived in Cobb County, Georgia. She was a native of Verner, West Virginia and moved to Atlanta in 1965.
Phyllis worked mainly in the Food Distribution Industry her entire life. She retired from Bunzl after 29 years of work. She loved to travel and was generous with her time mentoring children at Lithia Springs Elementary school. Her life was full and any who knew her was grateful for her love.
She was proceeded in death by her parents Kenneth Kegley and Columbia Bragg Kegley. She was preceded in death by seven brothers and two sisters: Betty Browning and Sue Corry, Clarence Johnson, Bill Kegley, Harry McClure, Rod Kegley, K.C. Kegley, and Danny Kegley.
She is survived by sisters-in-laws - Shirley McClure, Alice Kegley, Helen Kegley and Pam Kegley.
She is survived by her nieces and nephews – Peggy Ryder, Mike Johnson, Clarence Johnson, Kenny Johnson, Joann Harless, Clark Kegley, Kim Kegley, Annette Howell, Sherri Johnson, Teresa McClure, Allison Lambert, Terri Ernst, John Kegley, Melissa DeSantis, Brian Kegley, Erick Kegley, Chris Kegley, George Corry, David Cook, and Phillip Cook. And one special niece in law Heather Corry.
Many great and great, great nieces and nephews, cousins, close family friends and colleagues will miss her dearly.
Phyllis will be remembered for her warmth, her laughter, and the unwavering love she had for her family. Her presence will be deeply missed, but the legacy she leaves behind will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Her ashes will be returned to the family cemetery in Elliott County, Kentucky.
