Patsy K. Adams, fondly known as Pat, was a beacon of love and warmth in the lives of those who knew her. Born on December 28, 1953, in Hendersonville, North Carolina, she gracefully transitioned from this world on September 24, 2025, while surrounded by the rolling hills of Powder Springs, Georgia.
Pat was renowned for her nurturing spirit and a heart that radiated kindness. She had an extraordinary way of making everyone feel at home, enveloping them with her affection and hospitality. Memories of holiday gatherings will forever remain etched in the hearts of her family, who will cherish the special touch she brought to each celebration. Pat hosted every holiday with joyful enthusiasm, ensuring that every moment was filled with laughter, love, and togetherness.
Her deep love for family was the center of her life, and it shone brightly through her actions. She is lovingly remembered by her sister, Shirley J. Harpe, and her children, Tammy K. Vernon, Kenneth J. Vernon, and Robin A. Adams-Wright. The joy of being a grandmother and bonus mother to Victor T. Garrett and other grandchildren—Katherine, Hailey, Brandon, Stephanie, and Seth—and a great-grandmother to Kasen, Kross, and Koah.
In her free time, Pat found delight in simple pleasures, whether it was visiting the local Dollar General to select a cozy new bedspread and pillows each week, watching the news with a steaming cup of coffee in hand, or sharing stories and laughter with her beloved family. Her passion for life and her inquisitive nature never wavered, making her a cherished presence in any room.
While we celebrate Pat's storied life, we also reflect on those who have passed before her. She is reunited in spirit with her devoted husband, Michael E. Adams, as well as her parents, Ralph H. and Sarah A. Buchanan, and her siblings, Wanda L. Holmes, Cathy J. Buchanan, and Kenneth R. Buchanan. Together, they watched over her as she touched countless lives.
Pat leaves behind a remarkable legacy as a sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her sweetness, kindness, and unwavering support will be profoundly missed yet fondly remembered by all who had the privilege to know her. As we gather to honor her memory, we carry forward the lessons of love, compassion, and family unity that she so beautifully embodied throughout her life.
