Nora Dorsey

Nora Louise Dorsey, age 85, of Hiram, GA, passed away peacefully on January 18, 2026. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, January 30, 2026, with visitation prior to the service, from 12 pm to 2 pm, at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel in Marietta, GA. Interment will follow at Mount Harmony Memorial Gardens in Mableton, GA.

Louise was born in Atlanta, GA., on October 7, 1940 to Bennie Mae and Clyde Ray who has preceded her in death. She married Jerry Dorsey on March 28, 1958 and was married 66 years until Jerry's death on November 13, 2024. Their marriage was full of love and laughter continuing for life on Earth and beyond. Louise worked at AT&T, Lucent Technologies and IPD Printing for many years, where she made lifetime friendships.

Louise is survived by her daughter, Pam Dorsey Vaughan, and her son-in-law, Alan Vaughan; son, Jeffrey Scott Dorsey; grandsons, Josh Pritchard, and Nate Pritchard; Aron and Summer Vaughan, son and daughter-in-law of Alan and Pam; brother, Bill Ray and his wife Joyce Ray; sister, Minnie Ray Pope (husband John Pope deceased); sister-in-law, Delores Ray (husband James Ray deceased), sister-in-law, Pauline Ray (husband Gene Ray deceased) and sister-in-law, Shirley Dyer and husband Carroll Dyer and 25 nieces and nephews. She was also predeased in death by two brothers Marvin and Bud Ray.

She was a loving mother, grandmother ("Granny"), sister, aunt and friend. She is missed by all. But her memories are precious, and remain close to the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
