Mary Floyce Bramblett

Mary Floyce Hamilton Bramblett of Marietta Georgia passed away on Wednesday, May 29, 2024. She was born to Joseph David and Ivy Elizabeth Bridges Hamilton on July 5, 1926 in Forsyth county, Georgia. Soon after World War II, she married Lynn Bramblett who had returned home from Algeria where he served during the war. Together they had one daughter, Sheila Elizabeth.

Mary Floyce is survived by her daughter, Sheila Elizabeth DuPriest (Robert) of Marietta, Georgia; her grandchildren Todd DuPriest (Marlana), of Tampa, Florida and Laura DuPriest Weisenborn (Rich) of Grayson, Georgia plus numerous nieces, nephews and great grandchildren. 

Mary Floyce is proceeded in death by her husband, Lynn Bramblett, former Postmaster of Marietta, Georgia; parents, Joseph David and Ivy Elizabeth Bridges Hamilton; sisters Winnie Rowe Burnette, Annie Jo Shoemake and Jurell H. Davis; and brothers Talmadge “Jack“ Hamilton, Paul Hamilton, Howell  Hamilton, Lewis Hamilton and, Glenn Hamilton.

A grave side funeral service in honor of Mary Floyce’s life will be held Friday, June 7, 2004 at 11 AM. She will be buried beside her husband, Lynn in Broadlawn Memorial Gardens in Buford, Georgia. In lieu of flowers, honor Mary Floyce with a donation to Georgia Agape or the Alzheimer’s Association
