Martha Lynn Hamlin

Martha Lynn Hamlin, age 59, of Douglasville, GA passed away Saturday, August 1, 2026. A Memorial Service will be held at 3pm on Friday, August 7, 2026 at Mills Chapel Baptist Church in Newnan, GA with Pastor Brian Hosmer officiating.

A native of Hoganville, GA, Mrs. Hamlin moved to Douglasville almost 2 years ago. She worked as a Tie End Operator at the Continental Mills in Hoganville for 20 years before retiring. She attended Rehoboth Baptist Church in Moreland, and enjoyed cooking, crocheting, and collecting Lighthouses. She is preceded in death by her brothers, Eddie Gentry and Terry Gentry, and a grandson, Curtis James Boyd.

She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Michael Clifford Hamlin; her children, Amanda Renea (Eddie) Boyd, Tabitha Lynn (Casey) Murphy, and Michael Cory (Carissa) Hamlin; stepson, Michael Clifford (Heather) Hamlin, Jr; her sister, Peggie Sue (Jeffrey David) Witt; and her grandchildren, Raelynn, Coton, Zachariah, Ethan, Matthew, Emily (Alex), Curtis, Saryna, Alisa, Daylen, Brianna, Erin and Devin .
