Marion Elfriede Michel (Robertson), a beloved mother, wife, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend passed away peacefully on August 19, 2024, at the age of 77. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Born in Fuerth, Germany, on November 6,1946, Marion embraced her faith early in life. She embarked on a journey of love and adventure when she married Clarence, a career soldier. Together they traveled the world, and Marion’s determination led her to master English through self-study.

Upon settling in Georgia after Clarence’s retirement, Marion became a proud American citizen. She dedicated herself to caring for children through her own childcare business and later with the Fayette County school system. Her warmth, passion, and unwavering commitment left a lasting impression on countless young lives.

A breast cancer survivor for over 26 years, Marion’s strength and resilience inspired those around her. Her devotion to her husband shown through as she cared for him tirelessly following a stroke. Marion’s vibrant spirit filled every room with laughter, dance, and the aroma of delicious home-cooked meals. She cherished moments shared with her family, sharing stories creating memories.

A faithful member of Sure Foundation Church, Marion’s contributions were many from ushering to working with children, her dedication to her faith community was clear.

Marion is survived by her loving husband, Clarence Robertson; her children, David Robertson (Marlene), Debra Robertson Sykes (Terrence), and Stephanie Robertson; her grandchildren, Chemere Frances, Amber Williams, Autumn Robertson, Isaiah Sykes, and Christian Tucker; and her great-grandchildren, Val, Royal, and Layor. Her memory will forever be etched in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A private celebration of life will be with family and close friends. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Dementia research.
