Margaret A. Strickland

Our precious mother, Margaret Ann Strickland went to be with the Lord on Friday, September 18, 2026. She passed away surrounded by her loving family. She was born on June 5, 1935, to James E. Bryant and Beatrice Whitten. A native of Dalton, Georgia, she and dad moved to Cincinnati, Ohio after they were married and raised their family there. They relocated to Austell, Georgia in 1985.

Mom is preceded in death by our father, her husband of 64 years, Kenneth W. Strickland. Her survivors include 4 children: Kendra (Paul) Shearer, Kim Strickland, Karen (Randy) Troyer, and Scott (Rhonda) Strickland; her beloved sister Judith Gerwell; 8 Grandchildren; 19 Great-Grandchildren, and 2 Great-Great Grandchildren. Mom and Dad were devoted members of Living Stone Church in Austell, Georgia. She was a huge animal lover and leaves behind her dog Piper and her cat Meow-Meow.

The family will receive friends on Friday, October 2, 2026 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta, Georgia. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am in the chapel with Pastor Grant Cole officiating. Interment will follow at 1:30 pm at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia where she will be laid to rest alongside our father.
