Loyal Jamal Johnson, a vibrant and adventurous six-year-old, passed away unexpectedly on February 21, 2025. Born on February 11, 2019, Loyal’s time with us was brief, but he filled every moment with tremendous joy, laughter, and love.
Loyal was a bundle of energy, always on the move and never without a smile. He loved playing outside, running through the yard, dressing as his favorite superheroes, and discovering new adventures. With wide-eyed wonder, he eagerly explored the tallest trees and the tiniest bugs. A natural adventurer, Loyal embarked on countless escapades, both real and imagined, often with a cape fluttering behind him. His passion for all things fast and powerful was undeniable. He possessed a deep love for race cars, spending countless hours meticulously arranging his collection and imagining thrilling races. This love for speed and power fueled his boundless imagination and adventurous spirit.
In addition to his love for race cars and monster trucks, Loyal had a strong ambition and fascination with being hands-on with tools. He loved to tinker and fix his motor trucks, cars, and dirt bikes, showing a keen interest in how things worked. This hands-on approach revealed a young mind eager to learn and create.
Though his time here was far too short, Loyal’s love will remain with us forever. His smile was a radiant beam that could warm anyone’s heart. Above all, Loyal gave the best tight-hugs, warm embraces that were more than just gestures; they were filled with kindness and a pure heart.
Loyal is survived by his parents, Travis and Joi Johnson; his brother, Akye; and his three sisters, Shai, Ivri and Treasure. He is also survived by his maternal grandparents, Debra and Domingos Gomes; and his paternal grandparents, Sheila Johnson and Randy Boyce. Loyal is predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Robert Louis-Wayne Zager, and his older brother, Chance Zager Johnson. He will be deeply missed by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and friends.
We hold Loyal close in our hearts, cherishing the love he shared with his family. We find comfort in the hope of the resurrection, and the promise of seeing Loyal again in the new world, reunited with us by Jehovah.
