Kull Curry Brown, Sr., age 86, passed away on March 31, 2026. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at 3:00 PM at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel. Burial will be held 1:00 pm Monday, April 6, 2026 at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia.
Curry was born and spent his first 18 years in Washington County, Georgia.
He served 11 years in the Air Force as an aircraft mechanic. He had a unique ability to “fix” anything. During his years, he served in Viet Nam as well as various Air Force bases from Ipswich, England to Las Vegas, NV.
Following his military service, he served in a ministry capacity of vehicle maintenance for several churches. He maintained a fleet of buses which were used largely to transport children to church so they could hear the Good News of the Gospel. Because of his tireless and selfless investment of resources, there are many individuals and families in whom he made a significant impact.
He financed these efforts by the landscape company he owned and operated with his wife, Mary. They raised 4 children and modeled this example of giving. The faith with which he led his family to live by is the legacy he leaves behind.
His quiet, calm and constant leadership has been a light for several generations. He is now enjoying the fruit of his labor. The legacy he leaves for his family is one of faith and love. He always shared these qualities with all who had the privilege of knowing him. It has been an honor to call him husband, dad and papa.
Curry is lovingly remembered by his wife, Mary Brown; his brother David (LuAnne) Hartley, and his children: Lydia (Rick) Sallee, Curt (Melinda) Brown, Kevin (Kristina) Brown and Alethea Busby. His example lives on through his grandchildren: Crystal (Bryson) Smith, Rick (Rachel) Sallee, Ben Brown, Emily (Ryan) Ford, Erin Brown, Ally Brown, Noah Brown, Arianna Busby and Tristen Busby and 7 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, Olivia Hartley.
