Kathlyn D. Venners

Kathlyn (Kathy) D. Venners, age 95, of Dallas, Georgia, met her maker Thursday, December 25, 2025. Her Spirit was released peacefully with family surrounding her. Funeral service will be held 11:00 am Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel. Burial will follow at Crest Lawn Memorial Park, 2000 Marietta Blvd, Atlanta, Georgia 30318. 

She was a native of Dawsonville, Georgia born January 13, 1930 to Ernest and Nellie Dale. Kathy worked 45 years in bookkeeping, retiring from Life of Georgia and began traveling to historical sites with her husband John, both whom loved history. She enjoyed cooking, flower gardening, making flower arrangements, embroidery, crocheting (self taught at 12), crosswords, and watching Perry Mason daily. Kathy's biggest love was her family, caring, nurturing, protecting, teaching and loving on.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Nellie Dale, sister, Jimmie Sue Dale and Nellie Jo Morgan, brother Garnett H. Dale, daughter-In-love, Tracie Jones, great-grandson, Brantley Jones.

Those she left to cherish her memory are four sons, Allen (Donna) Jones, Phillip Jones and Tim (Debbie) Jones, Derrick (Candie) Venners, one daughter, Nancy Starnes, daughter-in-love, Judy Brown, special friend, Bernd Rohrlack, 9 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren and many many other family and friends.

Family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 30, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Wednesday, December 31, 2025 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta, Georgia.
