In loving memory of Karen Johns, a beloved mother, sister, and friend who entered into rest on May 14th, 2026. Born on January 29th, 1976, in Shiloh St. Elizabeth, Jamaica, a woman whose spirit was fueled by love, family, and most importantly faith.
She will be remembered by her commitment to her family, her dedication to helping and guiding others, her unwavering love for and trust in her heavenly father, her perseverance, hope, strong will, and passion.
Above all, Karen was a woman of deep devotion. She loved God with all her heart and lived her truth with grace and conviction. Her undeniable faith carried her every day, and she planted a seed of that faith in everyone she crossed paths with. She was a testament of his grace, a true example of how to live a life according to God’s will, and a light to those seeking how to. Her family will remember her resilience, compassion, and continue to plant seeds as she did.
She leaves behind a loving mother, a devoted son and daughter, and her dog Ivy who she cherished deeply. Along with her best friend who she considered a sister, brothers, sisters, aunts, and uncles, each carry a piece of her light.
A memorial service will be held on May 31st, 2026, at West Cobb Funeral Home. Please join her children, Shakiel and Shana Johns; in celebrating Karen, whose love and faith remain a guiding presence for all who knew her.
Her family will remember her by her commitment. No matter the circumstance or the words said, she was ready to answer the phone on the first ring. Above all, she was a beacon of hope. It did not matter how bad a situation seemed, Karen always remained faithful. She believed in honesty and fairness and lived by those values every day just how good God’s grace is when you serve Him wholeheartedly.
