Julius Tilmon Hollingshed III

Julius Tilmon Hollingshed III, age 38, of Dallas, Georgia passed away Wednesday, September 4, 2024. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, September 7, 2024 at Legacy Baptist Church in Dallas with Pastors Ryan Vargas and William Hathcock officiating. He will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the service.

A native of Acworth, GA, Tilmon graduated from Harrison High School in 2005. Afterwards, he attended and played football for Carson-Newman University in Tennessee. After graduating with a Bachelor's Degree, he worked as a Graduate Assistant for the football team. He worked at Northside Hospital in Atlanta for 10 years.Tilmon also enjoyed coaching football at Harrison High School, playing lacrosse, wrestling, and umpiring for the Acworth Baseball Association. He was a former member of Piney Grove Baptist Church, and a current member of Legacy Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Rev. J.T. Hollingshed, and Sara Jones.

Survivors include: Wife of 8 years, Ashley Dawn Hollingshed; Daughter, Tillie Hollingshed; Parents, Tim and Fran Hollingshed, Acworth, GA; Sister, Susan (Andrew) Meredith, Kennesaw, GA; Niece, Bailey Meredith; Nephew, Rhett Meredith; Mother and Father-in-Law, Donna and Paul Tanguay; Sister-in-Law, Tiffany (Joey) Kowalewicz, and many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.

The family will receive friends on Friday, September 6, 2024 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta, Georgia. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Tilmon Hollingshed's memory to a scholarship fund that will be set up for Tillie Hollingshed. Checks may be made out to Ashley Hollingshed.
