Joyce S. Denney

Joyce S. Denney, age 89, of Marietta, Georgia passed away Monday, August 26, 2024. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, August 31, 2024 at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta with Dr. Stuart Guthrie officiating. Interment will follow at Midway Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Powder Springs, Georgia.

Born in Rosalie, Alabama, Mrs. Denney lived in Cobb County for most of her life. She graduated from Campbell High School in Smyrna, and was a longtime member of Lost Mountain Baptist Church where she helped run the Pass It On Ministry. She also enjoyed flower gardening and reading.

Survivors include: 5 Children, Judy (Rodney) Peters, Kathleen, GA, Steve (Alisa) Guthrie, Ridgeland, SC, Jenny Kirk (Joel Holt), Acworth, GA, Tamara (Ken) Oberkofler, Marietta, GA, and Todd Denney (fiancée Wendy Overbay), Marietta, GA;12 Grandchildren, 20 Great Grandchildren, and her beloved dog Oreo.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 31, 2024 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory.
