John Franklin Crawford, Jr., age 78, of Powder Springs, Georgia, passed away peacefully on September 17, 2025.
Born and raised in Atlanta, John graduated from Therrell High School before proudly serving his country in the United States Air Force as a loadmaster during the Vietnam War. Following his service, he enjoyed a long and dedicated 45-year career with Kroger, where he was well-respected by colleagues and customers alike.
John is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Michele (Horn) Crawford; his daughters Britten (Crawford) Sahebdivani and her husband Hose of Smyrna, Michael (Crawford) Stenger and her husband Bill of Smyrna, and Katie (Crawford) Mote and her husband Justin of Dallas. He was a proud grandfather to Camryn and Connor Sahebdivani, Presley Jones and Liam Stenger, and Reese and Caroline Mote. He is also survived by his brother Jim Crawford of Eatonton, Georgia, along with many extended family members and friends.
John will be remembered for his devotion to family, his steady work ethic, and his kind and gentle spirit. He also cherished the companionship of his two beloved dogs, Maddison and Molly, who were constant sources of joy and comfort.
A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025, from 1:30-3:30 p.m. at Silver Springs Village Clubhouse, 4552 Silver Springs Blvd, Powder Springs, GA 30127. Family and friends are invited to join for food, laughter, and memories as we honor John's wonderful life.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages memorial contributions to a charity of your choice.
