Joey Boon "Babo" Abercrombie

Mr. Joey Boon "Babo" Abercrombie, age 75, of Marietta, GA passed away on Tuesday, September 8, 2026. A committal service will be held at 10am on Saturday, September 12, 2026 at the Georgia Memorial Park Cemetery in Marietta.

Born in Blue Ridge, GA, Babo had lived in Cobb County for most of his life. He owned and operated Abercrombie Roofing Company for over 40 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosa Mae Abercrombie, in 2020.

He is survived by his children, Rosa (Cephus) Jones, Powder Springs, GA, Pamela (Jason) Carruth, Douglasville, GA, Charles Abercrombie, Monroe, GA, Tammy Brock, Cartersville, GA, and Frances McFarland, Marietta, GA; grandchildren, Joseph Abercrombie, Bobby Abercrombie, and many more.

The family will receive friends Friday, September 11th, from 11am until 2pm at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta.
