Jimmy Lee Satterfield, age 80, of Powder Springs, Georgia passed away February 21, 2018. Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at Mountain View Church in Marietta with Dr. Byron Morgan officiating.
Born in Burlington, NC on December 30, 1937. He was a lifelong follower and student of Christ, a devoted and loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, and Father-in-Law. Throughout his children's early years he coached his sons in little league football and basketball. Jim retired from ATandT after a 30+ year career, was an avid student and instructor of Tai Chi, and enjoyed gardening and cultivating bonsai trees. He was also a member of Mountain View Church.
Survivors include wife of 61 years Lynette Satterfield; children: Rory (Christine) Satterfield, Christopher (Cynthia) Satterfield and Krista (Redmond) Keeney; grandchildren: Travis, Jimmy Lee, Jack, Christopher Jr., Matthew, Elizabeth, Tristin and Alex.
The family will have a reception following the service in the Church's social hall.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jimmy Satterfield's memory to Leukemia and Lymphoma Society @ www.lls.org
