Jean A. Richardson

May 18, 1936 — Jul 19, 2026

Trilba Jean Ashley Richardson, born May 18, 1936, in LaGrange, Georgia passed away peacefully on July 19, 2026. She was the beloved daughter of Elsie Louise Bradley and Albert Lewis Ashley and was lovingly raised by her Maw Ashley and Aunt Dot - women whose guidance and grit helped shape the remarkable strength she carried throughout her life.

Jean lived with a spirit defined by independence, resilience, and unwavering determination. She was strong in the ways that mattered most: steady in hardship, courageous in uncertainty, and faithful in every season. She never gave up - not on her family, not on her responsibilities, and not on the people who depended on her. Her perseverance was a quiet force that inspired everyone who knew her.

For 33 years, Jean served Cobb County Government with dedication and pride. She was known for her reliability, her work ethic, and her ability to meet challenges head-on. Her colleagues remember her as someone who showed up fully - with kindness, patience, and a willingness to help wherever she was needed.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Sheila Schmidt and her son, Jeffery.

Jean leaves behind a family who adored her deeply: her daughter, Pamela (Ernie) Goodis; her sons, Jimmy (Lynn) Aikens and Timothy Aidens; her grandchildren, Kesha (Mann), Chris, Tina, Amy, Amanda, and Jeffrey; her great-grandchildren; and her great-great-grandchildren. Each generation carries her strength, her humor, and her love forward.

To her family and community, Jean was many things: a devoted daughter, a loving mother, a protective sister, a cherished "Memaw," a loyal friend, and a faithful follower of Jesus Christ. She lived with humility and heart, offering comfort, guidance, and warmth to anyone who needed it. Her legacy is one of endurance, compassion, and steadfast faith.

Her family will continue to honor her by living with the same strength and kindness she embodied - steady, sincere, and rooted in love.
