Jean Maddox

Betty Jean Maddox, age 77, of Marietta, Georgia passed away Monday, November 6, 2023. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, November 10, 2023 at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta with Rev. Wayne Collett officiating. 

Born in Atlanta, GA, Mrs. Maddox lived in Woodstock for a number of years before moving to Marietta 10 years ago. She worked in Human Resources for Mullen and Company for 20 years. She was also a member of First Baptist Church of Woodstock, was an avid Elvis Presley fan, and loved being with her family. She was preceded in death by her sister, Pat Barron, and her parents, Bill and Betty Dutton.

Survivors include: Husband of 59 years, Lester Maddox, Jr.; Son, Lester Maddox III and wife Sarah, Powder Springs, GA; 3 Sisters, Diane Pulliam and husband Roy, Jerry Perkerson, and Becky Wilbanks and husband Bert; 4 Grandchildren, Bailey Gill and husband Tyler, Peyton Maddox, Kelsey Longoria and husband Cameron, and Avery Maddox; 3 Great Grandchildren, Lydia, A.J., and Leo.

The family will receive friends on Friday, November 10, 2023 from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory.
