Janice was born in Fort Bragg, North Carolina but grew up in Bynum, Dothan, Munford, Eastabogo and Birmingham, Alabama. Janice's lineage allowed her to become a proud member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Janice met her long-time love at a bowling alley called the Boom Boom Room in Birmingham, Alabama. Janice and Gerald began their family in Mobile, Alabama where they raised their 3 children until 1985 and then they moved to Marietta, Georgia and resided there for almost 40 years. Janice had a continuous career throughout her life beginning at the Federal Reserve Bank in Birmingham, Alabama and ending with almost 3 decades of administration and retiree work at Kennesaw State University, in Kennesaw, Georgia. Both Janice and Gerald were avid supporters of all things KSU. However, Janice's main priority throughout her life was her devotion to her family. She was without a doubt the family's rock, north star and glue that held them tight. Janice maintained a devotion to God and church throughout her entire life. She was a long-time member of Piedmont Baptist Church and also a member of St. Andrews Baptist Church. She was a true lady with a steady temperament and had a soul of pure goodness. Janice is consistently described by friends and loved ones as 'sweet Janice', and that she was, through and through. Janice and Gerald moved to Panama City Beach in 2023, where they were able to enjoy reuniting with old friends and share good times together. After Gerald's sudden passing in 2023, Janice returned home to Georgia to be close with her loved ones again. Her family cherishes the short time she had back home close to children and grandchildren. The family takes great comfort that Janice and Gerald are reunited in heaven and will hold a lifetime of wonderful memories they provided close at heart. The world would be better off with more Janices in it---she was one of a kind. The precious memories of sweet Janice will live on with her family and friends forever.
