In Loving Memory of Jack Philips
June 30, 1945 - April 17, 2025
Jack Philips, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 17, 2025, at the age of 79.
He is survived by his loving wife, Marie Philips; his children, Jack Philips, Lisa Davis, Kristi Robinson, and Jessica Davis-Estes; and his step-sons, Jeffery Gray and Thomas Smith.
Jack was a proud grandfather to Krystal Love, Justin Love, Anna Love, Trenten Estes, Brayden Robinson, Lynnzie Robinson, Lincoln Estes, and Aria Gray. He was also a proud great-grandfather to Tara Love.
He is also survived by his sister, Sue Windstein; his brother-in-law, James Gray; his son-in-law, Tracy Love; and his nieces and nephew, Misty Spurlock and Buddy Windstein-along with many other extended family members and friends who will miss him deeply.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Tara Love, his grandson Michael Love, and his brother-in-law Ray Windstein.
A proud U.S. Navy veteran, Jack served his country with honor during the Vietnam War. He was a dedicated member of the Moose Lodge for over 50 years and a longtime member of the American Legion.
Jack had a deep love for baseball and a lifelong appreciation for classic westerns.
He will be remembered for his strength, kindness, quick wit, and unwavering love for his family. His legacy of service, loyalty, and laughter will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
A service to celebrate Jack's life will be held on May 10th at 2:00 PM at the Smyrna Oak Dale Moose Lodge:
