With heavy hearts and deep gratitude, we announce the passing of Henry Gene Cooper Jr.—a beloved husband, son, brother, and friend. He is survived by his wife, Tiarra Nicole Cooper; parents, Henry Gene Cooper Sr. and Cherlyn Ann Cooper; brother, Eric Cooper; grandmothers, Mattie Henderson and Margie Cooper, and a host of family and friends whose lives he touched.
Born in Shreveport, Louisiana and raised in Marietta, Georgia, Henry’s life was defined by music, love, kindness, and a deep desire to uplift others. A graduate of Osborne High School and Chattahoochee Technical College, he was a lifelong learner, always seeking to grow and give back.
At his core, Henry was a gifted musician. His trumpet told stories—full of soul, style, and spirit. But beyond his talent, Henry will be remembered most for his heart. He lived without bitterness, loved freely, and brought quiet kindness to every space he entered.
His greatest joy was his wife, Tiarra—the love of his life. Their bond was one of friendship, laughter, music, and unwavering support. Henry poured his heart into their marriage, building a life grounded in devotion and joy.
Fearless and curious, Henry embraced life with open arms. He read, explored, and dreamed—not for praise, but to better serve and love others.
Henry leaves behind a legacy of music, love, and compassion. Though his trumpet is now silent, his melody lives on in the hearts of all who knew him.
