Helana Mickey Gill

Helana Mickey Gill, a beloved mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away on November 13, 2025, in Temple, Georgia. Born on July 3, 1947, in Spartanburg, South Carolina, Helana lived a life filled with warmth and compassion, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew her.

Helana's life journey led her to Miami, Florida, where she established deep roots before moving to Georgia, where she lived for 44 years. Her loving spirit and commitment to family were the cornerstones of her life. She is survived by her daughters, Jennifer (Jeff) Cannon of Temple, Georgia, and Mickey (Scott) Clark of Lithia Springs, Georgia, along with her son, Walter (Patricia) Baggett of Bowden, Georgia.

Helana's legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren, Mark Flowers, Jesse Cannon, Gracie Cannon, Lance Slay, Heather Slay, Bud Baggett, and Abby Baggett. Additionally, she is a proud great-grandmother to Onyx Slay, James Santana, and Alex Santana. Her family was her greatest joy, and she took immense pride in each of their accomplishments and happiness.

She is also survived by her brother, Mike (Diane) Jennings of Titusville, Florida, along with several nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly.

Helana was preceded in death by her parents, Bud Jennings and Helen Blackburn, and her husband, Walter Lee Gill, who passed away on September 3, 2022.

A visitation in honor of Helana will take place on November 23, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at West Cobb Funeral Home & Crematory, located at 2480 Macland Road, Marietta, GA 30064. This will be followed by a funeral service from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Her final resting place will be at Meadowbrook Memory Gardens in Villa Rica, Georgia, with a burial service beginning at 2:45 PM.

Helana Mickey Gill will be remembered for her loving nature, her dedication to her family, and the joy she brought into the lives of those around her. She leaves behind a rich legacy of love that will never be forgotten.
