Gussie Bell Evans Gray, age 86, passed away peacefully on April 11, 2026. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at The Church at St. John, 550 Mt. Paran Road NW, Atlanta, Georgia 30327.

Gussie was born in Dalton, Georgia, and spent most of her life in Atlanta, where she built deep roots in her community and church. In 2020, she moved to Calhoun, carrying with her a lifetime of cherished memories. She was a devoted and lifelong member of The Church at St. John in Sandy Springs and found great joy in her involvement with the Dorothy C. Benson Senior Multipurpose Complex. Gussie found happiness in life's simple pleasures. She took pride in caring for her home, loved working in her yard, and had a special passion for tending to her flowers.

She is survived by her daughter, Crystal Vickers; her son, Chris Gray; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild, all of whom will continue to carry her memory in their hearts.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 18, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at The Church at St. John prior to the service.
