Gerald Tyrone Tidwell

Mr. Gerald Tyrone Tidwell, age 86, of Marietta, GA passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 25, 2026. Funeral Services will be held at 1pm on Friday, March 27th at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta with Pastor Leonard Chambers officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Harmony Memorial Gardens in Mableton. The family will receive friends from 12pm until 1pm on Friday prior to the ceremony at the funeral home.

Born in Cherokee County, Mr. Tidwell lived most of his life in Marietta, GA. He retired as a Machinist with Lockheed after over 30 years of employment. He was a longtime member of Central Baptist Church. He also loved bowling and socializing with friends over breakfast at Martin's, and was an avid Georgia Bulldog football fan. He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances JoAnn Tidwell, in 2014.

He is survived by two children, Tracy Picklesimer (David Bishop), Marietta, GA, and Kelly (Brian) Tidwell-Morse, Phoenix, AZ; sister, Jean (Jimmy) Groover; six grandchildren, Ashley Picklesimer, Hayley (Ken) Basham, Amber Bishop, Gavin Davidson, Chase (Shelby) Morse, and Parker Morse; four great grandchildren, Ashlynn Davidson, Rylin Picklesimer, Lucas Picklesimer Esco, and Kaden Basham; and a beloved granddog, Millie
