Gary Kenneth Mavor, age 83, of Dallas, Georgia passed away March 10, 2024. A Celebration of Life will be in Seattle, WA the summer of 2025.
Gary was born March 7, 1941, and raised in Seattle, WA, spending the last 10 years living in Dallas, GA. Upon his high school graduation in 1959 he started his career in the heavy equipment rental and sales industry. Throughout his 49 years in the heavy equipment industry, he made countless friends and colleagues who he cared about deeply. After a career of 49 years, he retired from Star Rentals in 2008. In Gary's younger years he enjoyed racing in the Limited Hydroplane Boat Series, he also enjoyed golfing, fishing, cruise boat traveling and especially spending time with family, friends and his lifelong friends from Seattle that meant a great deal to him. No matter where he went in life, he was always making new friends and was described as a good and loyal friend who would always brighten up a room and have a great story to tell.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years: Kathleen Mavor; son: Greg (Yvonne) Mavor; daughter: Renee (Curtis) O'Harran; Granddaughters, Ashley, Kaitlyn and Morgan and 5 nieces and 1 nephew.
Gary will be forever missed by all.
