Mrs. Frances Pendergrass Davis, age 80, of Powder Springs, GA passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on Monday, November 17, 2025. A Graveside Service will be held at 2pm on Friday, November 21st at Cheatham Hill Memorial Park Cemetery with Dr. Richard Walker officiating.
A native of Andrews, NC, Mrs. Davis moved to Smyrna, GA in 1965, then to Powder Springs, GA in 1974. She was a graduate of Andrews High School. She worked as an Executive Secretary for the Communication Workers of America, retiring after over 30 years of employment. She was also a longtime member of Macland Baptist Church, where she enjoyed her women's Bible studies. Mrs. Davis loved drinking her Dr. Pepper, sewing, shopping, and spending time with her children and her grandchildren. She was also a lifelong proud Republican and an avid Atlanta Braves fan.
She is survived by her Husband of 61 years, Jack Wayne Davis; 2 Daughters, Kimberly D. (James) Kammerdiener, Marietta, GA, Krista Butler (Mark Sturkie), Marietta, GA; Son, Brandon (Jess) Davis, Woodstock, GA; Sister, Wanda (John) Mashburn, Panama City Beach, FL; 4 Grandchildren, Nicolas Kammerdiener, Morgan Davis, Alex Kammerdiener, and Ivan Kammerdiener; Great Grandson, Jack Godfrey, and one Great Grandson on the way, Colin Kammerdiener; and a beloved Granddog, Gunny.
The family will receive friends from 6pm until 8pm on Thursday, November 20th at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory.
