Erric Victor Jackson

February 10, 1960 — December 23, 2025

Powder Springs

Erric Victor Jackson was born on February 10, 1960, in Birmingham, Alabama, to Umphrey and Bernice G. Jackson. He was preceded in death by his father, Umphrey Jackson, in 2006; and his beloved Mother-In-Law, Iris Crowder, in 2017.

In 1978, Erric moved to Atlanta, Georgia, where he attended the Georgia Institute of Technology and built a life defined by love, purpose, and family. While his accomplishments were many, Erric's greatest pride and joy was always his family.

Erric was a deeply devoted husband to his wife, Gale Crowder. Their marriage was filled with companionship, laughter, and shared adventures, especially the time they spent cruising together-moments that brought him immense happiness. To Erric, Gale was not only his wife, but his partner, his confidante, and his heart.

Erric was an extraordinary father whose love for his children knew no limits. He took great pride in his children, Jaleesa Jackson and Jordan Jackson, both of Atlanta, Georgia, whom he shared with Nina Jackson, and was a constant source of guidance, encouragement, and unconditional love. He was endlessly proud of the people they became and found great joy in watching them grow. Erric also lovingly welcomed his daughter-in-law, Makayla Jackson, as one of his own.

Erric is survived by his cherished mother, Bernice G. Jackson, his brother, Umphrey Jackson Jr., and his wife Lisa Jackson, and his sisters, Marisha Jackson and Teresa Jackson. He was a cherished uncle to Rodney Jackson, Jessica Jackson, John Jackson, Whitney Cunningham, William Kilpatrick, Benjamin Jackson, Chanel Brooks, and Angelica Jean-Pierre, and he held close bonds with many extended family members in Alabama and throughout the Atlanta area.

A passionate sports fan, Erric was a die-hard supporter of the Atlanta Falcons, Atlanta Braves, Atlanta Hawks and the Alabama Crimson Tide. Whether watching a game or spending time with family, he embraced life with enthusiasm and heart.

Erric Victor Jackson will be remembered for his kind heart, his quiet strength, and the boundless love he gave so freely. His absence leaves a profound void, but his legacy lives on through the family he cherished and the countless lives he touched. He will be deeply and forever missed.
