Eleanor Ann Fowler Tillery, age 87, passed away Wednesday, August 6, 2025. She was born July 29, 1938, in Mobile, Alabama. Ann lived a life marked by kindness, generosity, and unwavering devotion to those she loved.
Ann was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Steven Jarrett Tillery and her parents William C. and Evelyn Fowler.
She is survived by her sons Todd (Tiffany), Kevin (Kathleen) and daughter Julie Tillery; grandchildren Jonathan, Justin, Michelle, Melissa, Kara, Islay, and Liam; 10 great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law Lee and Suzanne Fowler; sister Kay Fowler Elliott; and many cherished nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Ann took dance lessons as a small child in Mobile and later became a successful acrobat winning several awards, including a gold medal as the State of Georgia tumbling champion. In high school, she was the only acrobatic cheerleader in the 7th school district of Georgia, often entertaining crowds during halftime shows with her acrobatic skills. She was inducted into the Sprayberry High School Athletic Hall of Fame for her acrobatic/gymnastic skills. She was also a member of the Letter Club and Dramatics Club.
After leaving Sprayberry High School, Ann graduated Massey Business College, and went on to work for a variety of companies including the GBI, Marietta Police Department where she started their fingerprint division, Lockheed, VW-Porsche where she became a top salesperson featured in local and Atlanta newspapers, and several medical businesses. She was also an entrepreneur who took her love of dance and formed a dance studio with a dear friend, and she also formed a medical supply company with her beloved sister, Kay. Both businesses were known for their excellence and were great success stories. In between, she found the time to be involved in Scouts with her sons as well as coach gymnastics and judge competitions.
Ann's legacy of loyalty and love will be carried on by those who knew and adored her.
A service will be held at West Cobb Funeral Home on August 16, 2025 at 3:00 PM. Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 3:00 PM prior to the service. Flowers are welcome or donations to the Alzheimer's Association in memory of Ann. Internment at Mountain View Park Cemetery, 410 Whitlock Avenue, Marietta, Georgia.
