Dorcas Kathietta “Kathy” Stanton, 91, of Warner Robins, Georgia, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Feb 15th, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
Funeral Service will be held 12:00 pm, Saturday, February 21, 2026 at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel in Marietta, Georgia. The family will receive friends Saturday, February 21, 2026 from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta, Georgia. Burial will be held 12:00 pm, Monday, February 23, 2026 at Magnolia Park Cemetery in Warner Robins, Georgia.
Born on November 25th 1934, in Sumter, South Carolina, Kathy was the youngest of seven children. In 1954, at 19 years old, she married the love of her life, Roger Dean Stanton Sr., and together they built a life centered on faith, loyalty, commitment, and family. As an Air Force wife, she faithfully supported her husband through every season, creating a home wherever they were stationed. They were married 65 years.
Her greatest calling was being a Mommy. She poured her whole heart into raising her three sons, guiding them with strength, patience, prayer, and unconditional love. She was their steady foundation — cheering from the baseball stands, offering wise counsel, and reminding them what truly mattered. She was a positive force of nature and taught them to treat others with respect. Never saying anything bad about anyone. Her boys and husband knew they were loved beyond measure.
After settling in Warner Robins, Kathy began working at the Base Exchange (BX), where she became a respected and beloved supervisor/ manager. Known affectionately as “Mrs. Kathy,” she took pride in her work and treated everyone she met with kindness and dignity. She had a rare gift of seeing the good in people and loving them without judgment.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, brothers and sisters and her devoted husband, Roger Dean Stanton Sr.; her oldest son, Roger Dean Stanton Jr.; and her youngest son, Steven Craig Stanton. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Tim Stanton and Lou Stanton; and her daughter-in-law, Michelle Stanton. She was a proud grandmother to seven granddaughters:
Granddaughter - Angel Tharp (Jason) and their sons Justin, Noah, and Christian.
Granddaughter - Crystal (Stanton) Holubz (Josh) great granddaughter Alexis Ferguson;
Granddaughter - Brandy Baugham (Clint) and daughters Bailey, Harper, and Emma;
Granddaughter - Amelia Brown (Ryan)
Amber Scalf (David) and children River and Zoe;
Elise Stanton ( Shamar) and daughter Zelda;
Deanna Torres (Michael) and sons Lucas, Gabriel, and Benji.
She was also blessed with fourteen great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and several beloved nieces and nephews. Her life is beautifully reflected in Proverbs 31:25: “She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come.” She was deeply loved, and she loved deeply. Her legacy of faith, strength, and unwavering devotion will live on in the hearts of her family forever.
God bless you Mama!
